This leading container shipping company is looking for a Technical Superintendent to join their team in London.
As Technical Superintendent, you will ensure all vessels are kept in good operational condition and managed as a small business unit. You will be responsible for following up vessels' maintenance, drydock preparation, sea worthiness, compliance with rules, regulations and the safety management system, crew on board and commercial performance, activity and budget. You will also manage, with the Captain and Chief Engineer, the budget of vessels.
You must have seagoing experience as a Senior Engineering Officer, Chief Officer or Second Engineer. Preference will also be given to previous experience as a Superintendent, with experience of drydocking vessels. You must also have good technical report writing skills, good knowledge of cost budgetary control and vessel spare part procurement, as well as sound understanding of statutory legislation and classification standards appropriate to container vessels.
All applicants must also have existing UK working entitlement.
