The Compliance and Engineering Services Department provides certification, classification and verification services to the oil and gas industry. These services provide evidence of conformity with: regulatory requirements (certification); Lloyd’s Register’s Rules (classification); and duty holder’s schemes (verification). The process includes design appraisal, survey at manufacturers’ sites and commissioning. We are recruiting a Surveyor to undertake technical assessments onshore.
Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Onshore Surveys Team Leader , the role will involve:
• Surveying equipment manufacturers works for both verification and certification requirements
• Carry out documentation reviews on new and refurbished equipment to ensure the correct quality assurance procedures are in place and are being adhered to.
• Understanding and interpreting UK offshore legislation
• Understanding the basic principles of risk management and interpreting an offshore installation safety case
• Communicating with clients, financial control and timely and accurate reporting
Job Requirements:
We are looking for HNC/degree qualified engineer (mechanical/materials/fabrication) with a proven track record of relevant experience.
Experience of well control equipment (pressure equipment), fabrication and NDT/materials testing.
Technically strong, you will have good communication skills and a willingness to find solutions as well as problems.
You will have the ability to work in a team of individual
The role will require confidence in making decisions, sometimes under pressure and an understanding of the commercial aspects of your work.
Driving licence required.
