As Principal Instrument Engineer your main responsibilities will include

Look after study scopes and small to medium sized work, with the possibility of project scopes in the future.
Management of discipline team or teams assigned to contract or project to deliver efficiently and effectively
Represent contract or project in corporate engineering function issues
Assist the Lead or Chief Engineer when required in the management of the discipline design function.

Education & Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in an Instrument engineering discipline preferred, HNC / HND acceptable

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Good, all round instrument experience and have a high standard of technical knowledge:
Areas include:
Field Instrumentation - Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Level, Pneumatics etc
Wellhead Control Panels / Hydraulic Power Units ( WHCP / HPU )
Instrumentation / Equipment for use in Hazardous Areas.
Control Valves, Shutdown Valves, Choke Valves and PSV's
Diverse Protection Systems - HIPPS, IOPPS etc
Emergency / Process Shutdown ( ESD / PSD ) Systems
Fire and Gas ( F & G ) Systems
Process / Distributed Control Systems ( PCS / DCS )
Sub-Sea Control Systems ( SSCS )
Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLC )
Metering Systems
Package Vendor Interface Management
