Role & Responsibilities
· Manage a portfolio of opportunities, whilst identifying, developing and coordinating a tailored solution against such opportunities
· Engage with trade lane managers, overseas counterparts, key account management, product and operations etc to leverage and maximize sales output
· Take an active role in hand over of won opportunities with the Implementation Team ensuring that the customer, the solution and the process sold is handed over effectively to ensure a successful on boarding process
· Support development and business expansion of existing key accounts in conjunction with key account managers, field sales and other internal colleagues when required
· Monitor and communicate major trade and industry developments, including competition activities, their strength and weaknesses to the management, and with specific action plans to combat
· Think outside the box is designing solutions, developing RFQ responses, PowerPoint Presentation that reflect Damco' as best in class
· Objective is to achieve gross profits of minimum a few times of the fixed costs, through creating, developing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing client/customer
· As a part of the Commercial organization, be in front of customers and present solutions designed in order to be an active player in closing opportunities
· The position holder is not required to deliver the operations and service on his/her own, instead will guide for implementation, with ultimate ownership of the client, service delivery and customer satisfaction

· New Business Conversion Ratio

· Achieve specific trade lanes, Damco products, and industry segments objectives as outlined at time by the management

2. Technical

· Experience with one or multiple Damco core industry verticals such as Retail, High value consumer goods, Food/Reefer, Technology, Chemical, Mining.
Experience
The ideal candidate holds experience and capabilities as described:
· Experience working with the Freight 3PLe industry, ideally having held a position that involved the development or deliverance of solutions for Supply Chains
· Ability to create ‘instant respect' based on experience, insight and personal presence
· Have experience in freight terminology
· Able to engage internal and external stakeholders as required
· Experienced in working with customers to identify and understand needs/opportunities, and work with subsequent development
· Full understanding of the dynamics of Damco's current organisational structure
· Strong interpersonal and communication/listening skills - ability to engage stakeholders, build buy-in and excitement, working in a matrix organisation
