As Workshop Supervisor your main responsibilities will include

Work in a safe manner at all times, to comply with all current safety legislation and company safety policy.
Work to ISO 9001.
Work to project specific quality plans.
Work at all times to the Company's Quality Management System.
Identify training needs for technicians.
Ensure that all activities identified within the department work packs are completed in a timely manner.
Perform strip down, assembly and test activities in line with work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Ensure all calibrated equipment used within the plant is within calibration date and rated for the work activities.
Ensure that workshop plant and equipment including test equipment is suitable for use and regularly maintained.
Ensure work areas comply to 5s practices and are maintained in a safe and tidy manner.
Play a pro-active role in housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives.
As necessary, perform other duties, requiring essentially the same level of skill & responsibility, when required.

Qualifications
HNC in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Management Qualification or equivalent work experience

Competencies
Demonstrable technical hands on workshop experience
Proven ability to supervise teams
Proven ability to fault find.
Proven ability to assemble & test electrical, electronic, or mechanical complex units in a manual assembly environment.
Proven ability to read mechanical assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams.
Demonstrable experience working with Multi-meters and Oscilloscopes etc.
High level of awareness of HSE issues and measures in a workshop environment
