Business Development - Growth - Expanding Services
A commercially focused, motivated and ambitious Managing Director with a proven track record of Profit & Loss experience and success in growing and developing a business, is required for this exciting role. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of urgency, driven to deliver on financial performance, able to manage processes, learn quickly with the ability to analyse new market and the ability to manage and develop relationships with both clients and key stakeholders. Maersk Training is a global training expert since 1978. Focussed on three industries - Oil & Gas, Wind and Maritime. There are centres across the world - Denmark, UK, Norway, Singapore, India, Dubai, Nigeria and Brazil. The headquarters is located in Svendborg in Denmark. Maersk Training Newcastle is focussed on Wind and Maritime related training for various customers in the UK Market. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Communications and public relations management with all relevant stakeholders - Like global customers and who's who in the industry and others.
  • Overseeing a professional and capable team of 8 employees, in finance, administration, instructors in wind and maritime, sales and also a wide pool external instructors.
  • Manage all financial aspects of the business  - including, budgets, forecasts, profit and loss, expenditure complying with financial standards.
  • Expand the business - growth through new clients and extended services
  • Clearly articulate and live the Maersk Training's purpose, direction standards and values.
  • Effectively manage resources - both people and facilities
  • Communications and public relations management with all relevant stakeholders - Like global customers and who's who in the industry
  • Grow revenue and business through collaboration as well as own business.
  • Able to deal with unstructured environment and create structure
  • Approaching things with a ‘can do' spirit and focus always on the solution.
  • Secure a lean, efficient and profitable operation of the company.
  • Qualifications:

    Experience as a professional senior level manager with Profit and Loss experience. Knowledge about the training industry and / or the wind industry would be an advantage. Job Location is North Shields in the North East of United Kingdom.
