 Job Overview

We are seeking a new colleague to join our Marine Client team in Bergen. The team is responsible for supporting our norwegian clients, growing our marine business and delivering a premier classification service to the marine industry. This is a new position and this may give the successful candidate the opportunity to define some aspects of the role responsibilities, where previous demonstrable experience and knowledge make this desirable.

Job Responsibilities

The Marine Client team supports clients in all aspects of classification services for new and existing vessels. The team also support clients in growing their marine businesses with the support of the combined consultancy services that the Lloyd’s Register Group can offer. The successful candidate will support the needs and requirements of the marine clients in order to maximise the global marine strategy. These business development roles will involve frequent client contact, internal networking to support client requests, marketing planning, arranging training courses and seminars, etc. The Marine Client Manager will also co-ordinate feedback on service delivery, product development, and within the team ensure that client queries are suitably resolved. The line manager for the position is the Nordic Marine Manager, based in Copenhagen.

Job Requirements

The preferred candidate has significant experience of the maritime industry in Norway accompanied with a marine technical educational background. You have already demonstrated capabilities to develop long-lasting client relationships in your career. You understand client management, and most likely you have gained your knowledge though marine experience and training. You demonstrate extensive knowledge of marine business, and can demonstrate positive achievements by influencing. You bring with you an understanding of the marine industry, classification, consultancy products and services, and our purpose of enhancing the safety of life and property at sea. Our working language is English so excellent English communication skills are expected and similar proficiency in any of the Scandinavian languages, Norwegian, Danish or Swedish would be a significant advantage.
