The position:
MAN Diesel & Turbo|PrimeServ in Copenhagen is now hiring a strong Manager, who i.a. will be responsible for managing and developing initial spare parts sales for new build 2-stroke engines globally.
MAN Diesel |PrimeServ is a fast-paced unit with an informal atmosphere where focus is on customers and performance. Being part of the MAN Diesel |PrimeServ, MAN Diesel & Turbo’s after sales and service business, you will be involved with international customers mainly within the marine industry.
Job responsibilities:
Being responsible for a team of currently 4 people and a budget of app. 100 mill. DKK you will have the primary task not only to maintain status quo, but have to secure future growth of the initial spare parts sales, supporting the overall ambitious targets for MAN Diesel & Turbo|PrimeServ.
To succeed in this the new Manager will need to be capable of motivating the team in addition to cooperating with internal stakeholders and customers; hence the need for a strategic/tactical approach in addition to an operational mindset is obligatory. As the largest part of our customers are outside Denmark, you will have to consider 20-40 travel days per year.
Main tasks:
- further development of sales of initial spare parts for 2-stroke engines
- customer and global organisation visits – app. 20-40 travel days outside Denmark
- development of employees
- input to senior management regarding organisational sales strategies
- Implementation and execution of strategy
Profile/Qualifications:
The ideal applicant has strong and proven abilities within sales, business development and change management with focus on implementation. These competencies are most likely based on an educational background as a Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or Business. Despite of your background a genuine interest in technical and commercial related issues is needed.
As a person you are proactive, spirited and extrovert and you have a structured and quality-oriented approach to your assignments. You are result-oriented and have the ability to interface at all levels in a dynamic environment. Furthermore, you should have excellent English skills both verbally and in writing.
