Within Marine Business all development projects are managed as a set of defined Programmes, each with a Programme Manager.  
The Programme manager has a significant role to play in securing Lloyd’s Register’s market position through defining and managing a programme and underlying projects that will deliver tangible benefits to the Marine Business.  Programmes have either a business-transformation, engineering or an IT focus. It is expected that the successful candidate will have Project Management and Programme Management experience in one of these areas, but also be flexible to consider managing different types of programme as the needs of the business change.
This is a vital and challenging role working closely with Programme Senior Responsible Owners, Subject Matter Team Managers, and other stakeholders throughout LR. Job Responsibilities:

To manage the definition and delivery of programmes and their portfolios of projects and activities, so ensuring that the projects achieve the required outcomes and realise the benefits required by the business and to ensure Lloyd’s Register continues to fulfil it’s Mission.

To be responsible for the identification, definition, management and coordination of new programmes.

To be responsible as the day-to-day agent on behalf of the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), for the successful delivery of the programme capability, including management of the programme budget.

To coordinate business case development and investment approval for the programmes.

To be responsible for overseeing successful delivery and implementation of the projects within the programme including the realisation of benefits by the business, within the LR Programme Management Framework.

To be responsible for managing dependencies and interfaces between projects within the programme.

To be responsible for working with the Subject Matter Team managers and other stakeholders to assist in allocation of individuals to relevant projects.  

To be responsible for proactively monitoring changes within project portfolios, including the timely management of exceptions, slippages, risks and issues.

To be responsible for ensuring business stakeholders are kept informed of progress of the programme.

To be responsible for reporting progress of the programme at regular intervals to Programme Boards. Job Requirements:

Degree qualified or equivalent experience.

Recognised qualification in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2) and (desirable) Programme Management (e.g. MSP).

Experience of delivering projects to cost, budget and quality.
