Our client delivers engineering, procurement and construction management services to the Oil & Gas industry. Employing over 28,000 personnel throughout over 100 offices worldwide, they strive to be the preferred global provider of technical, project and operational services.

They are currently recruiting for the position of Principle Designer, based in Houston.

Job Description
* Provide support for completing Instrumentation and Controls deliverables for fast paced Offshore design project
* Provides design sketches/technical guidance utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge for drawing/model preparation by lower-level Designers or CAD Technicians
* Schedules and/or reviews/resolves 3D model interferences/clashes
* Checks work assigned to lower-level Designers or CAD Technicians for technical quality, accuracy and compliance with customer, Company and discipline standards
* Performs INTOOLs wiring connections within the INTOOLS wiring module
* Check cable schedule and perform cable fill calculations for instrument cable routing

Skills & Experience
* Extensive progressively responsible design experience in Instrumentation and Controls
* Demonstrated capability in AutoCAD and Microstation
* INTOOLs wiring module experience preferred
* Oil and Gas project development experience with prior Offshore project experience a plus
* Demonstrated experience with developing Instrument Installation Details, Instrument Plans, Wiring Drawings and Plan Drawings

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
