83446 - Subsea Controls Commissioning Engineer
Our client is one of the world's largest energy companies employing over 80,000 personnel and operating in over 100 countries worldwide with expertise covering a range of energy sources.
They are currently recruiting for the position of Subsea Controls Commissioning Engineer, based in Staines.
Job Description
* Take responsibility for organising and completion of all tests to prepare and prove SPCS pre-load out
* Take responsibility for organising and completion of commissioning and installation activities for SPCS
* Support FAT, EFAT, FIT and SIT activities in UK and abroad (Azerbaijan)
* Responsible for the production and execution of commissioning procedures for topside and subsea controls equipment
* As a member of the COP Team, initiate, manage and where appropriate undertake work to improve subsea equipment's scope definitions and resolve technical issues
* Participate in Progress and Interface meetings with engineering, construction and installation contractors
* Ensure that designs and procedures comply with company IM standards, relevant ETPs, Design Assurance Plans, Codes & Standards, Specifications and BOD's
* Participate in project design, risk & reliability reviews, workshop activities and readiness reviews
* Initiate and where necessary create procedures for integration, commissioning and installation of SPCS
* Ensure lessons learned and best practice are considered in all aspects of the Project
* Preparation and update of key project documents (including change management - ECR and MoC)
* Ensure company HSE standards are promoted and maintained during both onshore and offshore activities
* Protect and enhance company reputation and uphold company code of conduct
* Follow the Major Projects Common process (MPcp) and support the preparation of required documentation
Skills & Experience
* Experienced in relevant aspects of the oil and gas industry specially Control systems for both topside, subsea
* Experienced in aspects of project work dealing with Design to Construction, Commissioning and handover to Operations
* Considerable experience in an offshore/subsea Control system position
* Qualified in offshore and subsea instrumentation and Controls (preferably degree in Engineering)
* Preferably be familiar with company systems and procedures
* Preferably knowledgeable in control systems supplied by GE Vetco
* Offshore survival certs
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
