Senior Drilling Engineer

Our client is an independent energy company operating in the exploration, development and production of Oil & Gas

As Senior Drilling Engineer your main responsibilities will include

Preparation and execution of Drilling, Completion and Workover programmes which deliver an efficient operation, safeguarding health and safety of personnel, the environment and the integrity of the company assets for both Mobile and Platform operations.
Preparation of Government consents, notifications
Reporting to Government departments (DECC and HSE) liaising as required.
HSE weekly operations reporting.
Identify, prepare AFE and order long lead equipment for Drilling, Completion and Workover programmes.
Preparation of casing designs for upcoming Exploration and Development wells.
Daily Operational Drilling Engineering Support to on-going operations.
AFE preparation.
Cost estimation for potential Exploration wells.
Part of weekend duty rota team.
Ensure completion of End of Well reports.

Qualifications/Experience
Extensive experience of planning and executing well designs in the Drilling Industry both Mobile and Platform
Knowledge of UK relevant Drilling related legislation and Government application processes
Knowledge of pore pressure and fracture gradient issues
Degree Qualified in an Engineering field
Team Player with ability to lead
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to travel offshore
Valid IWCF Well Control Certificate
Offshore Medical
Offshore BOSIE
