Principal Technical Safety Engineer

Our client is an international energy services company operating in engineering & production facilities, well support and gas turbine services. Employing over 28,000 personnel worldwide they operate in 50 countries

As Principal Technical Safety Engineeryour main responsibilities will include

Act as main focal point with client for project scope definition / development and follow through into detail design for the upgrade and redevelopment of existing offshore facilities.
Act as client Technical Authority
Execute and Lead Process Engineering discipline engineering activities within budget and schedule, maintain technical integrity and act as a discipline focal point for project scopes as required.
Reporting to contract Lead Engineer.
Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties
As required, represent the safety team at kick-off meetings, progress and design review meetings
Assist in the training and mentoring of graduates as required
Ability to handle discussions and run Meetings with client engineers
Ability to run groups in Development of studies and FEED projects and Detailed Engineering projects

Education & Qualifications:
Experience with direct Safety Engineering
Degree qualified engineer
Chartered engineer

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Fully conversant with UK regulatory environment, standard offshore international and national industry standards and specifications.

Experience:
Management of change experience/skills
Experience in Brownfield oil and gas engineering
