They are currently recruiting for the position of Drilling Engineer, Rig Start-Up, based in Baku.

Job Description
Reporting to the Wells Team Leader is responsible for leading/supporting and ensuring actions arising from various Rig Audit Actions and other Rig Acceptance requirements, are satisfactory closed out and documented in accordance with company Policies and Standards.
Rigorous verification and assurance skills including understanding and knowledge of Drilling and Completion Operations and in particular with respect to new rig start up and compliance with company drilling practice and policies.
Engineering & Operations Compliance/Verification/Assurance
Participate and assist in the 3 month Ship Yard upgrade programme including but not limited to:
Undertaking and closure of Gap Analysis and Rig Upgrade issues/actions
Closure of Rig Audit Actions
Closure of company Rig Acceptance and Rig Intake Standard Operating Practice (RISOP) requirements
Participate and assist in the on-boarding of new rig personnel in accordance with company requirements
Develop and maintain Project Management Activities and Action Tracking Register
Ensure company HSSE and Integrity Management Policies are complied with
Maintain interface with other discipline teams (such as Subsurface, completions, contracts, logistics, Well Interventions, Production teams etc.), Drilling Contractor and Service Companies to ensure satisfactory closure of above actions

Skills & Experience
•Bachelors or equivalent degree in an engineering discipline.
•Significant demonstrable experience in drilling engineering and completions either in an International Oil Company, a National Oil Company or a Service Company.
•Offshore operational drilling experience on semi-submersible rigs, HTHP wells.
•Experience in Rig upgrade/Rig Start up operations, Technical Limit and Project Management
•Valid Well Control (Subsea and Surface) Supervisory Level certified (i.e IWCF, Wellcap or equivalent)
•Valid Medical and BOSIET or Equivalent training for possible Offshore visits
•Demonstrable leadership of Safety Programs for drilling operations and participate fully in developing HSSE culture.
•Experience of Well Testing and Completions in HPHT Wells.
•Recent company experience working with company standards, Policies and Group Practices would be extremely valuable i.e. ETPs, DWOP/OMS.
•Knowledgeable and experienced in technical assurance, Risk Management and HSE implementation
•Able to meet deadlines and prioritise workload, time management and proven track record as strong team player
•Demonstrable capabilities of developing, training and coaching
