As Mechanical Engineer - Maintenance your main responsibilities will include
Review planned maintenance routines and carry out optimization studies within the mechanical discipline to minimize the cost of maintenance whilst retaining an acceptable level of plant and equipment reliability
Provide support on mechanical maintenance and certification activities, advising on proposed modifications to facilities.
Ensure that all appropriate mechanical maintenance and technical records including plant history are updated as required using Maximo
Review the types of stock holding levels of mechanical equipment held as spare parts, and optimize the inventory, stock management and co-ordination of the ordering of spares in conjunction with the Materials Co-Ordinator
Attend Maintenance Morning call
Manage and execute all daily actions from the installations to ensure that priorities will be achieved
Continually review effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems and reliability / availability performance of assets
Carry out all work in accordance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
Key role in ensuring that technical integrity is not compromised on a installation through any maintenance activities
Provide expert discipline advice and expertise to offshore teams to ensure excellent maintenance performance
Continually monitor all Operational Excellence / Maintenance related business targets and report where required to onshore Maintenance Co-Ordinator
Ensure critical maintenance activities are accurately reflected in asset plans
Ensure the use of subcontractors is managed and delivers value to the operation
Monitor and report on progress and effectiveness
Education & Qualifications:
HND or ideally degree qualified in a Mechanical engineering discipline
Experience:
Previous offshore maintenance and operations experience within the oil and gas industry preferred
