We are currently searching for engineers with Technical Instructors / Trainers that have experience training engineers on operations, maintaining and improving systems and plant performance. PWR experience would be ideal for this position.

Nature and Scope
The company's desire is to reach internationally recognised levels of excellence in the operation of nuclear power stations has led to the implementation of an INPO based systematic approach to training. An opportunity for a professional who is seeking a new challenge to positively drive change and deliver a world-class training function has arisen within the Training Department.

The Technical Training Instructor will be responsible for the training of engineering staff to drive performance improvement through design and delivery of training interventions to ensure best practice in maintaining and improving plant and system performance. Additionally he/she will support other training areas including Chemistry, Health Physics and Human Performance. You will work closely with first line leaders and their team members outside training to tackle their current and future development of staff. Training will cover a wide range of training methods from plant based skills training to developing self directed learning training packages.

Skills and Qualifications The Candidate should have strong verbal and written communications skills for effective development and delivery of training.
Have the ability to gather and review technical data /information and to complete analysis to determine the need to implement training solutions. Will be a results driven achiever with exemplary planning and organisational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.
The Candidate is expected to have strong understanding in application of safety, environmental protection and nuclear safety principles and legislation.
Must be experience in the development and delivery of Systematic Approach to Training or equivalent recognised training processes.
Ideally you have been involved in Peer Evaluations together with exposure to international standards of technical power plant training.
An advantage would be the understanding of best practices in training (WANO/INPO/TSAB).
You will be educated to a minimum to a HNC in an engineering or technical discipline.

Selection for these posts will be made via a Psychometric Testing and Technical Interview

Principal Accountabilities
The post responsibilities include:
Establishing training programmes that drive demonstrable improvements in the reliability of plant and safety performance.
Conduct analysis, design, development and implementation of technical training in a timely manner to meet the stations training requirements.
Respond to emergent training needs and deliver creative solutions to achieve the stations business targets.
Provide training that embeds Human Performance, Nuclear Safety and Operational Experience within the lessons.
Develop interfaces with the customers to support the integration of training within their business models.
Assist the Technical Training Group Head in the overall programme management of the technical and business improvement training for all persons working on site.
Participate with the Emergency Scheme to support the stations emergency arrangements.
Provide flexibility in working activities to contribute to meeting the stations business goals.
