Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:

You will directly report to the Team Leader of Shipper Account Manager in PRS SAM Department.

You will act as the SAM, responsible for shippers' management for the assigned Generic clients. You will be focused on: ·         Maintain and develop local relationships ·         Support CUS to deliver second-to-none services ·         Improve process, communication, and business development within territory ·         Smooth and efficient communication with shipper and/or client sourcing offices ·         Act as entry point for shippers relating to issues at frontline offices ·         Act as bridge between CUS teams and local shipper and/or client sourcing offices ·         New business development

Specific responsibilities of the position:

·         Shipper management and relationship building -      Conduct workshops and education sessions for shipper on behalf of CUS teams -      New operation process training and implementation, support CUS on training material preparation -      Regular meeting or visit with agents and key shippers for relationship maintenance -      Vendor non-compliance analysis and follow up with vendor -      Warehouse and Terminal Visit arrangement for factories ·         Client relationship maintenance and build up -      Facilitate customer visits, so these are well arranged at frontline offices ·         Supplier(carrier, trucking supplier, Doc-man) communication and relationship building -      Regular collect feedback from Chengdu CUS team for supplier performance. -      Conference call and meeting with suppliers for relationship building and   performance review -      Meeting with suppliers when CUS escalates the performance issue ·         Drive VAS CM1 and Sales Lead -      Improve local business development by clear understanding of shipper related interfaces/processes  -      Provide and forward Sales Leads to branch Sales team and support new business generation ·         Operation Support -      Assist on the ad-hoc operation exception required by CGD team -      Manage specific projects that drive efficiencies in local branches in accordance with SOP's and KPI's -      Optimize process and strengthening operational effectiveness of shipper related processes ·         Responsible for Business Continuity Plan (BCP) preparation, education, execution and coordination amongst different parties at local ·         Provide assistance to SAM Team Leader and Manager with ad-hoc tasks, e.g. team's VAS performance improvement, team spirit building up, etc.


Measurement / success criteria of the position:

·         SAM scorecard: -      VAS CM1 & Sales lead -      Shipper satisfaction/feedback -      Vendor engagement -      Operation support ·         Relationship matrix maintenance ·         Arrangement of client/destination visits ·         Items content subject to agreement between SAM and CUS TL (and/or KAM) ·         Feedback from CGD CUS team. ·         Feedback from SAM team leader and manager

Specific requirements for the position:

Essential:

l   Strong customer service background and client knowledge l   Deep understanding of local practises l   Strong shipper/local sourcing office network l   Strong communication and interpersonal skills l   Proactive attitude and dedication to achieve ambitious goals l   Ability to work independently l   Strong commercial awareness l   Travel and overtime work whenever there is a business need l   Be prepared to take on extra assignments as directed by Section Leader on ad hoc basis l   Ability to analyze and prioritize development opportunities to maximize impact to scorecards

Preferred:

l   Damco working experience l   New business development experience l   Good communication skills l   Good understanding of work flows l   Cantonese Speaker l   Excellent conflict resolution management skills. l   Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines l   Good project management skills and presentation skills
