Establish and implement budget that include Profit & Loss accountability, WIP and bad debt management for the defined geographic area.
Build market intelligence and participate in the formulation and implementation of Energy Australasia’s business strategies and action plans.   

Identify organisational capabilities and collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the defined geographic area to establish relevant people, learning and development infrastructure that are aligned to Group and Regional HR policies to build and sustain the required high performance and engaged workforce to achieve long term business results.

Identify and mitigate enterprise risk based on understanding of the critical industry and political drivers in the defined geographic area to ensure long term growth and sustainability.

Develop and implement action plans to improve Energy’s Net Promoter Score and monitor/ improve compliance of service delivery standards established by Business Stream, Global Management System and Group HSE in the defined geographic area.

Participate in and contribute to Stream/Regional product and service development initiatives where appropriate.

Manage resources and build robust systems, business processes and structures (such as best practice sharing) to improve/strengthen operational efficiency.

Spearhead HSE initiatives to realise LR’s desired safety culture.

Build internal and external network (governmental agencies and regulatory bodies) and collaborate with them to realise opportunities and improve LR’s market positioning.   Maintain strategic relationship with key clients in the defined geographic area.

Develop and maintain a strong knowledge and the Regulatory Regime in Queensland both onshore and offshore.

Manage local Projects once business is secured and identify local resources to assist LR service delivery. Job Requirements:

Degree in Engineering and/ or Chartered Engineer with sound technical knowledge.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior position preferably in the Energy industry with proven track record in managing a fast growing and profitable medium sized business and knowledge workers and building organisational capabilities to deliver business solutions in the defined geographic area.   

Proven track record in building and sustaining positive client relationships, shaping and strategising tenders and leading contract negotiations.

Experience in driving major change and risk management initiatives and managing complex and large projects.

Experience in implementing sound people management practices (inclusive of hiring, performance management, organisational development etc.) to establish a high performance and client focused organization.  

Knowledge of Lloyd’s Register’s products, services & relevant sectors across streams, group strategy, Energy’s internal systems, processes & guidelines and marketing and branding strategies with sufficient hands-on experience in building market differentiation or the ability to develop such capabilities in a short period of time.

A self-driven individual with the ability to build strategic relationships/alliances, influence multiple stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally, function within a highly matrix organisation and realise cross and within stream synergy.
