Reliability Engineer - Rotating Equipment

Key Activities

·         Ensure that all activities within the Reliability Team are planned to deliver high standards of health, safety and environmental performance in accordance with all legislative requirements and in line with industry best practice. ·         Ensure timely and proactively follow-up on all relevant shutdown reports within areas of responsibility. ·         Working towards an incident free operation through engendering a reliability culture of change/mind set. Developing a positive health, safety and environmental culture amongst all of the staff and contractors involved in the planning and execution of I&R activities. ·         Demonstrating through effective leadership and personal commitment that health, safety and protection of the environment cannot be compromised. ·         Be familiar with and act according to the content of the Process Safety Pillars and Elements relevant for the position. ·         Assurance that all maintenance policies and procedures comply with Corporate standards and industry legislative practices. ·         Ensure activities follow Company policies and procedures, hereunder confidentiality, as well as applicable International and Qatari laws, rules and regulations. ·         Ensuring compliance with technical and operating standards. ·         Must comply with Company standards ·         Evaluates full implication of actions on profitability, costs and values. ·         Ensure that all information, written as well as verbal, obtained in the course of the work is handled in strict confidence. ·         Live the Company values. ·         Works within and across teams/disciplines to ensure maintenance tasks are properly analyzed, conducting critical reviews/assessments of systems and processes, carry out RCA ·         Forward planning, prioritization, cost and time management. ·         Plans own workload in advance, scheduling activities to optimize the effectiveness of own and others contribution. ·         Develop an ‘I&R Excellence' program to drive the business, including effective approaches for small assets. ·         Lead best practice and interface with other departments. ·         Will facilitate any changes to the maintenance strategy via the MOC process ·         Expected to make recommendations to maintain and improve asset maintenance activities and equipment reliability ·         Travel offshore on regular basis for follow-up meetings with maintenance and production supervisors on issues to be solved by the Reliability Team ·         Drive all maintenance RCA and analysis of rotating equipment. ·         Liaise with production and I&R teams onshore/offshore to understand the rotating equipment that is unreliable and maintain asset risk/opportunity register. ·         Present results of analysis to management.

Knowledge / Technical Skills

·         Analytical, conflict management, ability to learn, people management, ability to change mind sets, proactive thinking, good influencing skills, track record of leading teams, innovative ·         CMMS, RCA, FMECA, SAP, industry best practice, legislative documentation, detailed knowledge of offshore operations, consultant management ·         Detailed, commitment to Health & Safety, enthusiastic, good communication/listening skills, ability to work across functions/disciplines ·         Result driven approach and attitude is required. ·         Good verbal and written English skills are a prerequisite for the position. 

Education / Experience

·         B.Sc. Eng. / Equivalent ·         7 - 10 years related multinational exposure, oil and gas
