Introduction

An opportunity has arisen for a team of Marine Electricians to be involved in the construction & rebuild of hovercraft, based in Southampton.

The Job

Although you will be reporting to your respective team leaders the ideal candidate must be able to work on their own and use their skills and abilities to assist in problem solving where needed.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential

Duties include:

Marine electrical experience in the Installation of switchgear and control units, both AC & DC
Engine & generator installation
Fitting of cable trays and cable runs
Integration/Installation of navigation and radio equipment
General marine electrical work

Must have completed an appropriate engineering apprenticeship C&G qualification
Must be flexible and will move from job to job
Must understand and work to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and have the relevant knowledge of safe installation and working with AC/DC supplies

The salary starts from £24,523 (based on £11.79/h).
Overtime will be paid after 40 hours a week - Weekday overtime is paid at time and a third and weekend overtime is paid at time and a half.
