86035 - Well Integrity Team Lead
Our client is one of the world's largest energy companies employing over 80,000 personnel and operating in over 100 countries worldwide with expertise covering a range of energy sources.
They are currently recruiting for the position of Well Integrity Team Lead, based in Iraq.
Job Description
* 28 & 28 rotational positions based in Iraq.
* Requires travelling to UK approximately twice a year and other supplier/partner meetings in China, Dubai and Amman on a regular basis.
* The Well Integrity Engineer reports to the Well Integrity Team Leader. The role will develop and implement the Well Integrity Standard for all existing and future well stock, covering production, injection, source & disposal wells, both active & inactive.
* The term well integrity covers construction, handover, operations, interventions and suspension / abandonment.
* The Well Integrity Team Lead reports to the Integrity & Audit Team Manager.
* The role is to lead the Well Integrity Engineers and Mentors in developing and implementing the Rumaila Well Integrity Standards for all existing and future well stock, covering production, injection, source & disposal wells, both active & inactive.
* The term well integrity covers construction, handover, operations, interventions and suspension / abandonment.
* Implement the Project Well Integrity Policy / Standard, Management System and associated procedures:
* Handover procedure
* Critical operating procedures
* Tree & wellhead inspection & maintenance
* Annulus monitoring
* Corrosion & erosion monitoring
* Well integrity tracking system for well inventory
* Risks assessment of well stock to prioritise work plan
* Ensure application of international standards (API, ISO) and best practice as appropriate
* Interface with Client / Partner / Supplier to apply organisational polices and learnings
* Delivery of systems, process and contracts to support management of well integrity
* Ensure contractor assurance to international standards by being part of audit teams
* Performance manage well integrity using KPI
* Project point of contact for all well integrity issues
* Train, coach and mentor project staff in well integrity
Skills & Experience
* Native English Speaker
* Detailed knowledge & experience of well integrity engineering & operations
* A proven ability to coach, train and mentor staff.
* Strong team player and ability in a similar role.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Educated to at least first degree level in an engineering or related discipline.
* Knowledge of well service contracts.
* IWCF Well Control certified or equivalent.
* Experience working in a remote location in a multicultural environment is preferred.
* Flexible approach to work
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
