As Principal Geotechnical Engineer your main responsibilities will include
Leading the team and ensuring successful delivery of Geotechnical engineering to meet business needs
Provide specialist skills, integrity, and knowledge in the key area of subsea geotechnical design and operations
Interpret and use offshore site investigation data and be able to integrate results into detailed design of subsea infrastructure
Undertake detailed design and installation of gravity base, piled & suction piled subsea structures and evaluate/recommend reeled-pipe-lay initiation anchorages
Evaluate geotechnical design issues in relation to pipeline design, including installation, in-place and decommissioning
Understand general geotechnical issues and evaluate any associated financial / safety / quality implications to the company
Act as Offshore Representative on site/route investigations and on trenching campaigns
Contribute to internal R & D activities relating to soil/structure and/or pipeline interaction
Qualifications and Education
Good level of general education
Degree qualified in an applicable engineering or geology related discipline
Experience
Essential:
Experience with foundation design to API, DNV & Eurocodes
Good level of experience in geotechnical engineering and subsea trenching equipment and its performance
This is a permanent or contract role
