We are looking for a Vessel Performance Manager to be a part of the Vessel Performance team part of ML TVO Support. The position will be based in GSC Mumbai and will refer to the Manager of Vessel Performance. The Vessel Performance Manager will work in close cooperation with fleet groups based in all of the above locations and with Technical Managers of ML Owned and Chartered Fleet. The Vessel Performance team is responsible for giving support in Performance related issues to all ML Owned and ML Chartered Fleet.
Responsibilities
Collate and analyze vessel performance reports with objective of highlighting and supporting Fleet Groups in addressing areas for improvement
Provide feedback and support to Fleet Groups in Vessel Performance related matters with high focus being on Energy Efficiency Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
Share performance reports highlighting performance trends within organization
Develop knowledge database of Fleet Groups by sharing latest trends and work practices
Drive innovations and initiate projects within organization towards improving KPI targets
Liaise with Maersk Maritime Technology (MMT) team to ensure maximum utilization of Maersk Ship Performance System (MSPS) and supporting further development of the system
Anticipate weak spots by monitoring incidents and developing dialogues with Vessels and Fleet Groups
Assist vessels in performance related issues by means of Vessel visit.
Evaluate the aspects of voyage planning done by the Maersk Line own & chartered vessels and guide them to optimize the fuel consumption and hence the Voyage Efficiency Index.
Check the weather, sea, trim and other performance data reported by the vessels pertaining to a voyage in order to correct and improvise the Energy Key performance indicator
Requirements
Must have sailed on sea going vessels as a Master.
Knowledge of Performance systems will be beneficial.
Must have had hands-on-experience on the Eco Voyage or a similar program used onboard to calculate the most economical speed profile and operational mode for a voyage.
Familiarity with the Maersk Ship Performance System data reporting functionalities and Vessel Performance Onboard Analyzer interface would be preferable.
Must possess IT skills with hands on experience in MS Office
Must possess good communication skills with diligent and organized work approach
You possess good communication skills and can work efficiently with multicultural teams ashore. Additionally, you have enhanced problem solving skills and interest in tackling challenges with innovative solutions.
