E and I Development Engineer

Our client is an international energy services company operating in engineering & production facilities, well support and gas turbine services. Employing over 28,000 personnel worldwide they operate in 50 countries

As E and I Development Engineer your main responsibilities will include

Act as the main Construction Focal point for the onshore E & I Engineering and Design Teams.
Work closely with offshore team /Onshore HSE and Construction Manager to ensure all HSE requirements are met.
Attend constructability reviews and input positively and proactively
Write specific construction preparation and execution sections for workpacks as required.
Create jobcards and populate into workpacks as required.
Feed jobcard durations and trade splits into company planner.
Identify tooling and any specialist plant and equipment required to execute construction offshore.
Participate in Workpack / Workscope HAZIDS, risk assessments and Safety screens as required
Identify any construction support specialist 3rd parties as required and ensure call offs raised
Participate in Subcontractor assessment and selection process for E & I element of module fabrication
Attend meetings as and when required.

Education & Qualifications:
ONC/HNC

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Current offshore survival, medical and MIST.

Experience:
Previous experience with compilation of E & I Workpacks essential
Sound knowledge of offshore construction NORMS pertaining to E & I installations essential
Ability to interpret P & IDs, E & I Block, SLD and termination diagrams, E & I cable schedules and instrument hook up assembly drawings essential.
Sound knowledge of IEE Regulations 16th or 17th Edition.
Understanding and working knowledge of ATEX Directives and COMPEX certification / installation compliance.
Sound knowledge and experience of construction planning, execution and logistics.
