Maersk Oil Qatar AS is the leading oil producer offshore Qatar and a recognized pioneer in oil development and production techniques. On the basis of an Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement (EPSA) signed in 1992 with Qatar Petroleum, Maersk Oil Qatar (MOQ) is the sole operator of the Al Shaheen field.

The current oil production from the Al Shaheen field is approximately 300,000 barrels per day from nine different locations and is exported via two main offshore facilities.

Role Purpose

Facilitate implementation of Business Performance Management and associated tools throughout MOQ and ensure sustainable Ensure a value driven mind-set is embedded throughout the organisation through performance management

Key Accountabilities / Activities

  • Support creation of Business Performance management infrastructure in MOQ
  • Develop performance management tools applicable in MOQ, which can be adopted by corporate on a global scale.
  • Create MOQ Performance Management manual for MOQ
  • Capacity to stand-in for Performance Manager temporarily.
  • Develop supporting process tools to facilitate the implementation of global performance process in MOQ.
  • Implement and drive Business Performance Management process incl. Business Priorities formulation, Accountabilities Matrix, Business Performance Contract, Dashboards, Monthly and Quarterly Performance Meetings.
  • Facilitate performance management workshops throughout MOQ.
  • Support planning and facilitation of Business Priorities process for leadership team and each function within MOQ.
  • Support preparation of annual Business Priorities, Business Performance Contract, Accountabilities Matrix and Leadership Dashboard
  • Assigned departments to ensure alignment of Business Priorities in cooperation with HR partners prior to objective setting season.
  • Support HR Partners with toolkits and training to cascade Business Priorities and Accountabilities Matrices for Tier 3 and beyond
  • Establish and coordinate aligned functional dashboards throughout MOQ.
  • Develop value driver and KPI hierarchy for MOQ as guidance for business priority setting
  • Facilitate best-practice dashboard use through performance meetings, performance meeting toolkits and dialogue coaching throughout MOQ
  • Facilitate Leadership Monthly and Quarterly Performance Meetings.
  • Knowledge / Technical Skills 

  • Preferably financial/technical background with experience in performance management.
  • Understanding of what drives value in an organisation and excellent analytical skills.
  • Well developed financial and commercial understanding.
  • In depth knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with top level management

  • Education /

    Certifications

  • University education in Economics/Business/technical degree or related discipline
  •   

    Experience

  • 5 - 7 years experience.
  • Professional experience in financial, business and investment analysis
  • Experience in developing and implementing Performance Management i.e. dashboards, accountability matrix or MITAS graduate with technical engineering background
