Vacancy details
The purpose of the Able Seaman is to act as the main labour force aboard the vessel. The Able Seaman will carry out a range of duties in the task of assisting in the safe operation of the vessel or the handling of its cargo.
Berthing/Slipping of the Vessel.
Ship Husbandry Tasks.
Ship Operational Tasks.
Cleaning Tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
Emergency equipment and procedures and location and use of fire fighting equipment.
Drive deck machinery including cranes.
Assist in repair and maintenance of ship`s equipment.
Machinery care, routine maintenance and lubrication
Essential skills
EDH Course or AB`s Ticket
Basic Sea Survival
Fire Fighting
ENG 1 Medical
Desirable
Watch Rating certificate.
Health and Safety Awareness.
Crane driver.
High pressure washing
Manual Handling
