The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Mechanical Technician Trainee improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity. Roles and Responsibilities: Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work. Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain. Comply with TLM Product Line standards. Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD). Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and return authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process. Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians. Participate in failure investigations as assigned. Comply with the TLM Competency Management System. Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate efforts with the mobile maintenance shop foreman, mine foreman, and other mine personnel. Must have the ability to maintain daily records; Must have experience in equipment maintenance, repair and replacement. They must report maintenance concerns to the shift boss or foreman for the appropriate scheduling of maintenance functions or repairs. They also maintain proper tool storage and organization, clean work areas and safe work conditions. They must be able to operate heavy equipment. Perform heavy manual clean-up using shovels, picks, hoes and brooms; Lift, carry, manipulate tools; Perform repetitive hand and arm functions as are required operating jacks, ratchet wrenches, chain hoists, and come-alongs; Work outside in all extremes of weather; Occasionally work in restrictive spaces with difficult access; Occasionally climb onto and work on high perches on tall storage bins, conveyor structures, or buildings; Climb up and down inclines and slopes with aid of stairs or ropes; Work on shift schedules including night and graveyard shifts. Be responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and the Company's procedures and guidelines in the performance of their duties. Perform their job safely and in an environmentally responsible manner. Continually inspect their work areas for unsafe or substandard conditions or unsafe work practices. Correct or take interim action on any unsafe or substandard conditions or practices that they observe and report to the immediate supervisor. Participate, as required, in all training classes and exercises. Participate, as required, in all HSE performance development activities and systems. Report all injury, near-miss, property damage and hazardous conditions to their immediate supervisor. Qualifications and Experience: At least one year of equipment operation experience required Must live in or around Battle Mountain OR are willing to move to or around Battle Mountain at their own expense Valid Driver License required Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
