Key Responsibilities
1.Sales and Business development
Proactively seek out new business opportunities whilst identifying opportunities for growth within existing business
Arrange face to face meetings with key decision makers at the client’s side
Complete an in-depth needs analysis for the client and identify areas of the business where value added services can be provided to optimize the organizations supply chain and logistics function.
Present solutions to the client using PowerPoint or other appropriate method for presenting the
service offering
Close the sale and assist in the implementation process linking in with operations, customer service and senior management teams
Manage the relationship between the dedicated operations team, client, finance and any other key stakeholder
Deliver exceptional customer service throughout all stages of the process and meet operational profit and growth targets
Follow up on invoicing and billing with the customers and ensure the credit limits are adhered to. Coordinate with in-house finance regularly
Ensure personal and team sales targets and KPIs are met
Ensure risk is minimized through full and proper documentation of all transaction and verbal commitments between customer and Damco as well as between sales and operation
2.Communication
Keep all stakeholders informed at all times
Coordinate with the CCO when necessary
3.Reporting
Report periodically through CRM and sales pipeline (weekly activities)
